The team

Working behind the scenes to support, represent and strengthen New Zealand’s aviation industry.

We have a small executive team with a primary focus on serving the interests of AIANZ’s members.

This includes but is not limited to our policy and advocacy work, support in dealing with CAA and other state agencies, the provision of information, business capability and networking opportunities.

Meet our team

The executive team is supported at a governance level by the AIANZ Council who meet at least quarterly. While the Council has a largely strategic focus, the often-limited resources of the executive team, means Council will roll up their sleeves and lend a helping hand to team members when required.

Simon Wallace is responsible for all of AIANZ’s activities that range from our policy, advocacy and lobbying work, talking with politicians, engaging and supporting members, managing our events portfolio and maintaining financial oversight of the organisation. Simon is also the principal spokesperson for media as required.

Tony is based in the South Island and works closely with NZAAA members, while also supporting the wider AIANZ membership and aviation sector.

Ann is based in Wellington and works day to day with AIANZ members and the wider aviation sector, helping support members across the organisation.
